Three Things Your Team Needs NOW and Your Chamber Has!

I once had a mentor who took pride in providing service projects and development trainings for members of the team. This leader’s mindset was that “if my team is growing personally and professionally, they’re going to be happier” and a result would be better output and less turnover.

I’m of the same mindset. An investment in your team to help them develop as leaders and providing an opportunity for connectedness to community will payoff in the end. Happier, healthier employees solidify strong morale and even stronger production.

Our Chamber has those opportunities and most of our member businesses aren’t taking advantage.

Here’s a snapshot at what they’re missing:

1. Development Opportunities: From our YP and Women’s Business Networks to our monthly Small Business Roundtable, a monthly network for small businesses to share ideas and best practices across industries. We’re also ramping up our Lunch & Learns, too. Our next one, “Improve Your Health & Wellness” featuring Dr. Tom Morse and the Innovative Wellness team is on August 18th. Learn more.

2. Servant Leadership: All our committees, events and networks are planned by and run for our member businesses. We’re an office of two and because of those willing to volunteer we’re able to host all that we do throughout the year. Email connect@worthingtonchamber.org today.

3. Connections: Monthly, we host Business After Hours, Meet Ups and more, which are all FREE opportunities for your team members to get out and meet other business leaders. Have them attend to make connections and represent your business. Visit our events calendar to stay up to date for these opportunities.

Setting your team up is simple. Have your primary contact of your membership sign in and create your employees their own account. And just like that you’ll open doors to new connections and more engaged employees. They’ll also get our monthly emails to stay involved. If you need help, head to our YouTube channel for our video on how to set this up.
